Big fan of Szoboszlai, world-class potential. Does NOT solve our creativity problems. He's a moments player as of right now, can't control the tempo, can't dictate in the second-phase or the final third, lacks a consistent final ball. He's a great project signing.
Szo is someone that will create something from thin air, moments of brilliance, win games through sheer quality, quality dead-ball. His influence outside of G/A is minimal, understandable for a 19 year-old & will improve but he's not that guy yet, won't bring us T4.
Aouar is the one. Comes deep to collect the ball (first-phase), elite ball carrier, can control the tempo but his main skill is dictating in the final-third, combination plays with the FWDs. Plays off the left, or as an #8 & would facilitate a change to 433 long-term.
Look past his G/A & general performance in Ligue 1, it's lacklustre & not representative of his abilities. Seems to have the (poor but common) mind-set that he is too good for L1. Should be judged off UCL, where his peak performance is as good as anyone. https://twitter.com/WhoScored/status/1306560246538743808?s=20
