1. No matter how beautiful a woman is, this world will tell her she's not enough

Since the 50s, 99% of the women we consider beautiful in Hollywood have had significant plastic surgery done. I'm nt exaggerating when I say 99

There's nothing worth celebrating about this "choice"
2. A woman getting her nose fixed multiple times after winning Miss World is far from ideal. Women actors in Hollywood having to get their teeth and nose done before they even get their first job is not ideal.
3. Shaving jaw, getting jaw implants, removing fat from cheek, adding fat to cheek, making eyes more almond shape, etc... on some of the already most beautiful women! WILD. These ridiculous standards are perpetuated by MEN! who still hold most of the casting & industry power
4. This celebration & no-holds-back use of plastic surgery in Hollywood & Kpop and whatever is not harmless, It raises the standard of beauty to a point of no return! An alien place that keeps getting more alien. The standard of beauty always affects everyday women and girls.
5. A woman like Angelina Jolie who started out with such a beautiful face has accumulated so much surgery on her face over the years and starting so young. She looks unreal. I'm honestly not saying this to shame her... I admire her and she is NOT the issue.
6. There's no shame in getting work done, the majority don't feel beautiful enough. Many women will get work done if they had to be on the camera so much & had the money
We are judged for breathing

The issue is a world that says women are never enough & we need to overcompensate
7. Feminism must NOW renegotiate beauty.
Ironically, in a time when so many are feminists, we have regressed from worse to worst

When beauty is such an oppressive currency for women, we spend so much time worrying about beauty, not taking real power that allows us to live freely
8. I have nothing against beauty, I enjoy beauty, my point is not to say that beauty is bad, my point is, we must draw clear boundaries & input strong feminist basis on how we talk about beauty, & appreciate beauty

We must remove our worthiness from how we look & do it radically
9. We must continue to engage with women, for their style, personality & work & further deprioritise their body/features. We don't do this enough! Rather we fight harmful standards by setting new ones, hence still focusing on looks

It's wild that our bodies go in & out of style!
We must demystify beauty so that Hollywood stops selling it to us and benefiting from this patriarchal bondage! We must continue to make it okay for women to be radically honest about the work they've had done on their face and bodies and reward that honesty.
9. We must define the male gaze, not abstractly but in simple terms so we can truly disinvest.

Disinvesting isn't simply "I'm doing this for me & my girls," it is "what are our unhealthy ideas on beauty that could only come from people who branded us as for consumption only?"
