I'm missing the cinema more than most things at the moment, so Edgar Wright's paean to a lifetime at the pictures really struck a chord https://twitter.com/edgarwright/status/1324408282455355394
A lot of familiar experiences too. Akira in the late 80s but at the ICA. Much time spent at the BFI and Curzon Soho, and my last trip to the pictures was Picturehouse Central.

I love the fact my local when I was a kid was immortalised in an episode of The Comic Strip Presents
In the mood for some films set in cinemas now.

Here's a few favourites. An obvious choice first
Rick Sloane's micro-budget slasher Blood Theatre featuring the ever electrifying Mary Woronov, and a score made by director Rick Sloane on a home organ
Brian Trenchard Smith's Dead End Drive-In featuring a group of 30-something teenagers corralled in a drive-in theatre as society crumbles outside. Keep an eye out for a poster of Rambo 8
How about Bigas Luna's utterly deranged Anguish if you fancy a film within a film within a film...?
Arguably the only reggae slasher movie set in a cinema. Popcorn was shot in Jamaica and features a soundtrack by lesser know reggae/dancehall duo Ossie D & Stevie G
Sadly I don't actually have time to watch any of these films right now. Maybe if @Jedshepherd released Multiplex I'd have a few minutes spare to watch that. Anyway, Vive la cinema!
