@nzlabour got 50% of the vote and rightly claim a mandate to do pretty much what they want. The YesCannabis campaign is 67,000 votes short of 50% support and get NO mandate for change? Really? That's the way we gunna play this? @grantrobertson1 #YeahNahBro #StopTheArrests
Freds right my math wrong. 33500 no voters flipping to yes is what we are short.
Let me be very clear. If you think 33,500 wrong minded voters are going to send me to prison, you are crazy. If you think I'm walking away and forgetting 21 years of campaigning, you're fuckin crazy

I expect that if Government took the time to talk to the people in the cannabis community we would quickly come up with a workable plan. We have stood by for years watching talking heads 'weedsplaining' to us the people in the cannabis culture. Time for you to listen to us.
I have been an advocate of not for profit clubs to run the cannabis business for the people in the cannabis culture. We object to big capital sniffing around to steal our plant. We are capable of handling this ourselves. We do not want or need big business. We can do this.
Have you noticed there are no large corporates trying to take over the Returned Services Association. Why? Because they are not for profit businesses run for the benefit of their members. Profits generated go back to the members in benefits provided to all.
Clubs can be established in communities by locals and you don't have to be rich to be involved. The people who love the plant will take responsibility for the growing and sharing of this unique plant. Small growers can be contracted to supply the clubs.
Clubs can be the place to go for cannabis medicines. The club dispensaries will handle recreational and medicinal cannabis products. All without advertising. All in discreet premises. All to the benefit of the members. This is not pie in sky. The first club started in 2008.
This was opening day 19 November.
It is time to open not for profit clubs everywhere. Our people in the cannabis culture have had to put up with shit for too long. We've played your silly referendum games. Taken years of bullshit with thousand locked up in the meantime. For a flower.
The only justification given?
The only justification given?
YOU BROKE THE LAW. Not you hurt somebody. You put somebody in danger. No. You sold a flower that has never killed anybody in the history of the world. For that we will destroy your life. Jail, probation, trying to get a job, being declined due to your prison record. Done it all.
Tonight we almost got a majority. Without the no vote lies we would have pulled this off. With some money to promote the truth we would have pulled this off. The only thing being pulled tonight is your leg. The no people think it's all over. The fat lady is singing. WRONG.
More than half a million kiwis enjoy a puff on a regular basis. We are adults who believe cannabis harms are overblown (not dismissed) that we should be able to enjoy a puff for medicinal or recreational purposes.
We have come out over the last few weeks. We're not going back.

Almost 1.5million voted yes. About 1million of these don't use cannabis, at least regularly. After more than 20 years campaigning for change I want to send a heartfelt thanks to all fellow kiwis who ticked yes. Thank you for your support and your understanding. You get it.
