You'd think a country that started it's very complex election on April 11 and ended it on May 23 would show some empathy, understanding, appreciation for a covid time election that started Nov 3 and is ongoing on Nov 6. Not random and factually tenuous bmkj's.

US has broken turnout records in the middle of a pandemic while also breaking records of new covid cases everyday. This delay is mainly or wholly Trump's calculated doing. Frontload results with his voters, refuse to concede, ride that narrative, as Bannon shamelessly said.

That it didn't work, this full frontal attack by Trump on the system of casting and counting votes with a transparent agenda to steal the election, is a welcome instance of the system being resistant to those fascist gaslighting tactics. Not immune. But resistant.

This race would have ended Tuesday night if Trump had just stood with Biden last month and said, vote by mail, folks. It's okay. We have been using mail ballots for ages and have solid tamper-proof ways for it to work like our reliable Utah or seniors-heavy Florida.

Republicans let those states do mail voting and counting without a single hiccup. So they started counting early and were almost done Tuesday night. Democrats in PA, MI, WI wanted to do exactly that. Republican legislatures blocked them. Exactly for this. Delay and obfuscate.

Thankfully, delaying counting by a few days is all Trump was able to achieve. He's been getting away with screwing the system so long that he still doesn't realize that this time, the system has bested him. He can blow as much maga hat money on lawyers as he likes. He's done.
