Where I am with 2020/21 Spurs:

- We've got a really good team; like, 2nd or 3rd best in the PL good.
- We've got the deepest squad we've ever had in terms of quality.
- We've got the PL's two most in-form players in Harry Kane & Son Heung-min.
- We've had some good performances: Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle (despite result), 2nd half Southampton.
- We've also had some bad performances: Everton, Antwerp, 1st half Southampton.
- We've had some other less convincing performances: Plovdiv, West Ham, Burnley, Brighton (?).
- If you look at our results in isolation they're about par - over-achieved a bit, under-achieved a bit.
- The form is what makes you look twice. The undefeated run up to Antwerp. Impressive.
- We've had a favourable run of fixtures.
- The fixtures are about to turn in a big way.
BUT

- We've got a lot of new players & are a team in transition so would expect some natural improvement (esp with Bale).
- West Ham & Aston Villa have arguably shown that tough fixtures don't *need* to be tough this season.
- We've got something big in our favour: momentum.
Conclusions:

- Don't be surprised if there's a downturn in form over the coming weeks but absolutely *do not panic* if that happens (fixtures pick up).
- If we replicate recent results we'll put ourselves in a strong position.
- We don't need to play well to get results.
