Regardless Biden is on track to win and many many Democrats from all wings won. Keeping the House and most likely winning the Presidency back after one term. An achievement only replicated a couple times in US history. And there are wins like a bigger squad etc. And losses.
Also this election was not about actual policy. It was about what propaganda you believed. As Trumpers did think Joe Biden wanted Government Healthcare. Trump said that everyday and complained about Joe Biden wanting the Green New Deal. This was Trump’s message anti-socialism.
So the counter argument if we actually ran on that platform we would do better is premising Trump’s attacks would do worse with more validity than less. Also Trump has been campaigning 5 years longer and a nonstop digital operation with a massive spanish language operation.
This election is once again about Republican and Far Right digital and media infrastructure succeeding on the long game. The big story is Republican digital expansion into Latinos communities who split generationally and by place of origin have Left or Right tendencies already.
Likewise little outreach to Latinos existed before and definitely not in the planned strategy before where Trumpers were leading and pushing conversations across Latino Facebook groups and whatsapp groups for half a decade. This has obviously yielded results.
