America has a largely free and fair press. India does not.

In America the opposition is treated fairly by the media. In India it isn’t.

Election financing is more transparent and more equal in America. In India it is opaque and BJP gets >90% of electoral bonds.
Want to feel excited about democracy in India? Jammu and Kashmir says hi. Opposition leaders aren’t detained without reason in America. Internet isn’t shut down for millions without reason in America.
Compared to america India’s democracy is in the gutter. Stop embarrassing yourself.
Their President still has to address press conferences no matter how much he hates the media. All this affects democracy. India’s democracy is hanging by a thread and if Indians don’t wake up and work hard to save it it will be hanging by the noose.
