There’s a lot of disenchantment amongst Dems about the fact that, while we may win the White House (!!), we did not repudiate Trumpism. 1/7 #elections
But we couldn't defeat Trumpism on Election Day. We defeat it over the next four years by showing that government can work for the little guy. 2/7
That means we need a #publicsector that can dream big, think hard, listen well, and get things done—predictably & effectively. 3/7
That’s the kind of #government that can take aim at the geographic #inequality that has locked millions of Americans out of the growth economy. The kind that can
tackle institutional #racism in law enforcement with the ambition, urgency, and care the challenge demands. 4/7
We know our next president will inherit a federal gov't that’s demoralized & gutted; four years of Trump has taken a huge toll.

But government hasn't worked well enough for too many Americans since well before Trump emerged. 5/7
We’ve underinvested in our nation’s problem-solving capacity over time, plain and simple. 6/7
And that’s why ending Trumpism is about much more than defeating Trump.

It’s about building broad support for the idea that we can do big things together. And strengthening public institutions to play their necessary & irreplaceable role in moving America forward. 7/7
