Probably no one who likes Melty would answer it this way but now it may very well be Bayley/Sasha in Brooklyn.
I’ll forever die on the hill of the ironman match being much better however I think Brooklyn is the borrow a phrase, the match that launched a thousand ships. In WWE you don’t get Ronda, you don’t get The Man, you don’t get the Mania main event and you don’t get women being taken
seriously on the level they surely are now without it. Women have been as good or better at wrestling than men forever, however this match showed it conclusively to the wrestling world on a massive stage. I cannot overstate how seismically imporant the match was.
Quite frankly, I think the actual match itself in a vacuum was overrated but its influence and importance are astronomical.
