A story that will need to be talked about regarding this election in PA is the remarkable increase in turnout of Trump voters. @nick_field90 gave us a clue when he reported the rise in Republican registrations & it translated into votes (1/3)
The increase in Democratic votes since 2016 isn’t surprising & matches trends in Pennsylvania. But tens of thousands of voters in PA who didn’t vote in 2016 voted for Trump this year-the question is what was their motivation? (2/3)
Because of the changing demographics of PA I don’t believe this is sustainable for Republicans especially w/out Trump on the ballot. But it made a big difference this year in Congressional & state legislative races. (3/3)
