I know we’re all waiting on Nevada and the jokes are funny! But I’ve been calling to cure ballots there since last week and most counties, especially the rural ones, are not prepared for the volume of ballots they’re receiving.

This is the first time Nevada has EVER done automatic vote by mail. For 90% of Nevadans, it’s their first time using mail ballots - there were bound to be errors and signature mismatches. I spoke to several people who’d had strokes, so their handwriting had changed.

Every day we were calling people about correcting ballots they thought they’d already cured. That’s because the counties hadn’t processed them yet - nothing nefarious, their offices were just overworked and preparing for in-person voting. They have until the 12th to get them in.

Nevada is actually doing a great job. Also 75% of Nevadans live in Clark County, then Washoe and the rurals. It’s going to take some time, but from the enthusiasm I saw for Biden there (even among older, rural voters) you’re going to want to wait for every ballot to be counted.
