Not going to make an observation about how every single media outlet now openly and loudly calls Trump a liar ... only after he appears to be out of power.
The good news is that the high school lunchroom of Washington media is going to be super-mean to Trump once he's no longer a person with influence. The bad news is that they didn't do this impassioned denouncement for all his other lies and speeches.
It is actually profoundly depressing that only now, after he has lost the election and cannot wield power, that they turn him off. They were happy to broadcast his white supremacy and exhortations to violence at length when he had influence. https://twitter.com/MattNegrin/status/1324503112019779590
Spotting a trend in all this new-found courage to insult Trump only when he is losing an election. https://twitter.com/WakeUp2Politics/status/1324504853050281984
Why didn't he say it four years ago or three years ago or two years ago or 9 months ago or 2 months ago. Why is he saying it this way only after Trump no longer has power. https://twitter.com/Phil_Lewis_/status/1324505828007858178
Useful definition for the next few days.
A great example of a publication that refused to call Trump a liar when he was president...and now that he is losing an election. 2018 vs 2020

Here's another example of sudden courage to interrupt the president. Note that none of this happened during his Covid pressers or his lavishly televised white supremacist rallies. https://twitter.com/whstancil/status/1324537753879547904
Why was Trump not rooted in reality and not dangerous when the president was encouraging his white supremacist supporters to commit violence? Or when the president was calling Covid a hoax? https://twitter.com/PhilipRucker/status/1324505713301987331
Reporters in the White House press room openly heckling the president. 230,000 dead, hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers tortured, and all it took to spur this courage in the White House press corps was knowing that the man in front of them was no longer powerful. https://twitter.com/moorehn/status/1324607771799674880
The fact that ABC, CBS and NBC cut off Trump's speech last night just tells you that these networks could have stopped and fact-checked Trump all along. They just didn't do it when he was powerful. https://twitter.com/AP/status/1324545566714564608
