In general, our politics should be *much* more confrontational.

I shouldn’t even have to say that, since *democratic politics* should necessarily be understood to involve *struggle,* but here we are.
If you see someone protesting an eviction, or the murder of a loved one by police, and your first instinct is to urge them to moderate their protest ... guess what?

You’re an aristocrat, and a coward.

You’re not a democrat. Period.
We got a lot of 21st century Dixiecrats that like to pretend they’d have marched to Selma once upon a time if they’d been around back then, and folks I hate to say it but, they’re lying to themselves and to you.
