URGENT alert-- GA candidates in tight races- @GaSecofState is making it impossible to obtain a discretionary recount.
You have until the day of the county certification to ask for a recount from the county election board. But SOS is trying to close window. See thread. 1/ #gapol
2/ If you think that your race deserves additional scrutiny of a recount of some or all of the precincts, you can petition your bi-partisan Bd. of Elections (in most counties). But you must do so BEFORE the certification date.
Here's where it gets tricky...
3/ The SOS is rushing the process of county certification. Cty. certification deadline is 11/13. But SOS is pushing for no later than 11/9 to slam the door shut. 5 counties certified today!

The plan is to do it so fast that you can't analyze the data in time to ask.
4/ Here's @GaSecofState's schedule attempting to narrow your window for a recount request.
http://bit.ly/CGGsosAudit  We urge you to follow the details at the precinct level and every change in the vote tallies. If there's something that needs exploring, now is the time. #gapol
5/ Reach out to your local board now if you think you will want a recount, and let them know that you need time to see and study the results before they certify.

They at least need to vote in a public meeting whether to honor your request, and their rationale.
6/ If the vote total is certified within 1/2% of your opponent, then you are guaranteed a recount IF you ask. But last minute adjustments may knock you out of a guaranteed recount, and you will have lost the window for optional recount.
So don't delay doing your analysis.
