#NurseTwitter as we enter the second wave of #Covid19, what can we do as a profession to combat the emotional impact this protracted period will have on us not only as nurses but as human beings as our adrenaline runs out? @theRCN @RCNScot @RCNWales @RCN_NI @RCNNQN @RCNMandLForum
What can we do to prevent &/or manage the potential post traumatic stress we may experience due to what we’ve seen & been exposed to? How do we avoid emotional burnout? We are human beings, as well as nurses. In fact, I’d argue nursing is in its essence one of the most human acts
But we can’t allow ourselves to burnout. We must all be there for each other as a profession as times get tougher. I wish I had the answers, & I’m sure far wiser minds do, but this recuperation period will last years surely @SigmaNursing @RegionSigma @WeRGlobalNurses @WeNurses
