Another thing I don’t think a lot of folks understand is how “easy” (in quotes b/c I understand many are busy just trying to keep their heads above water) it can be to get yourself involved in the leadership of local politics.
(There was a really good thread going around yesterday about how someone’s mom did this and made a huge difference.

Let me tell you my story from a few decades ago. Back from when I was still a Republican.
I was a single mom. But I started showing up to the local women’s group, which from what I recall, met in one of those rooms you get for groups of 10-15 sized family groups, in..Frisch’s, I think?

I just..showed up to things.
