Adding this related couple of tweets here. Dems are going to spend years thinking that they just weren't Republican enough to win Republican voters. The issue is that they weren't Democratic enough to offer any kind of alternative. https://twitter.com/moorehn/status/1324470854986715139?s=20
Adding these two. Dems spent years summoning up an incredibly useless online hashtag-Res*stance whose most notable accomplishment was white liberals swarming people to "yaaaasss queeen" about Nancy Pelosi's orange coat. https://twitter.com/moorehn/status/1323960061056700417
Have to love "we didn't run on any of these progressive ideas because we thought we would lose if we did, and we lost, so we definitely will not run on these things that could maybe help us win" https://twitter.com/jakesherman/status/1324456569778675712
Dems didn't LOSE on M4A and defunding the police, because they didn't RUN on those ideas.

In fact, they specifically ran AGAINST them, with the party yelling that healthcare and limiting police power would lose them seats.

They lost seats and now they're blaming the left! Ha!
Only a mess like the Democratic Party could blame the platform it DIDN'T adopt as the source of its problems. Pelosi has been calling this wrong for years. It's time for her to move on and make room for someone who can adapt to change.
We should all be thinking about "we didn't run on progressivism, and we lost, therefore progressivism is our problem" for YEARS. What an insight into a sloppy party strategy.
