These voters are, however, tired of being called racist by NY/CA liberals & celebrities who have no idea what their lives are like. Understandably, when the left calls everyone center-right a racist (e.g. Romney 2012), GOP voters take it less seriously when Trump is called racist
Make no mistake, Donald Trump IS a racist. He is a horrible, vile, racist demagogue. That's why I voted Biden.
But right-aligned voters won't hear that from MSM. They don't trust it because MSM always calls us racist; they need to hear about racism from fellow Republicans.

Nativists and populists are ascendant in the Republican Party--which is terrible for the country. But this isn't fate.

If a socialist says America is an "inherently racist nation," they must acknowledge socialists are fully capable of racism, too. Racism is not a one-party reality.

People will say it is foolish to try and build a Republican Party that works for equal justice.
I counter that it is naive to think we could end racism in America without making Republicans a partner in that effort. The two party system isn't going away, neither is the GOP.
