That “Nurse” people are calling a hero? Her name is Shelley Tasker.
She’s not a Nurse. She was a bank healthcare assistant (Yes HCA’s are an important, integral part of the team, not denying that but she is NOT a nurse)
There are several videos of her, at various rallies.
Her “I’m publicly resigning” video is doing the rounds, yet in one of her last videos she said that there was no work for her and no furlough either. There actually was no work for bank staff in the 1st wave. This was well known in the area at the time) as things were scaled down
to free up beds in case there was a surge of covid patients.
How can she publicly resign from a job she wasn’t doing?
It’s another well known fact that covid numbers in Cornwall were very low during the first wave & we had few admissions. Several people died though & we should
not forget that, them or their families.
The hospital however has been busy. I know this because -
My dad was admitted & there were no beds.
Ambulance crews have sat outside A&E, with patients being assessed by medics in the back.
I have friends who work there.
Whilst covid numbers have been very low in comparison to most places in the country, the hospital is busy. Staff are busy. Resources are stretched.
They do not need some anti mask, anti vaxxer posting videos of herself saying the hospital is quiet.
This is a lie.
They’ve never hidden the numbers of covid patients within the hospital. @RCHTCE speaks on Radio Cornwall every Friday and tells people what’s happening. It’s not a secret. She’s been doing it for months.
To claim this “Nurse from Cornwall” is a hero for telling everyone the facts is ridiculous, because they’re not facts. It’s bullshit.
And let’s not forget that she actually posted a confidential document online.
Granted the information is in the public domain but the document she posted is clearly labelled ‘Confidential’

If you’ve fallen for her narrative, bigger fool you. It’s massively disrespectful to hard working NHS staff around the country, some of whom are working tirelessly.
Some of whom have seen things they’ve never seen before in their careers. Some who take the horrors of their shift home from work with them, every single night.
They’re the people you should be listening to.
The people who are qualified to tell you abort death certificates.
Not a bank healthcare assistant from Camborne who had this to say, because in all fairness, would you want someone who didn’t give a shit about anyone but herself looking after you?
I know I wouldn’t.
Final thing.
Massive respect to my former colleagues in healthcare, who put the needs of their patients before their own.
The ones who do it because they want to make a difference, not because they want five minutes of fame.
