Today new rules were given to #refugeesgr at new camp on #Lesvos, incl.:
- Exit & entrance to camp allowed only from main gate. 8am-20pm (Mo-Fr), 8am-3pm (Sat).
- Use of mask indoors & outdoors, inside camp & outside
- No use of heaters or fire inside/outside tents

Questions to RIC administration referring to the above:
1: Residents don’t have a pharmacy, supermarket or ATM at site - how can it be assured that inhabitants get access to basic necessities?
2: How can inhabitants keep #Covid_19 social distancing measures inside camp?
/3
3: (1) Will the tents be heated in another way, if the installation of heaters or a fire is not allowed, once winter is approaching?
3: (2) How can people cook for themselves? And how can e.g. medication be stored in a dry place if rain is approaching & no #heating in place?

It is further stated that penalties will be imposed to offenders:
“In case of non-compliance with rules of RIC #Lesvos, there will be an immediate cessation/stop of Reception conditions, more specifically cessation/stop of housing and cessation/stop of financial assistance.”
/4
—> what does a cessation/stop of housing practically mean for an asylum seeker inside the camp?

Will legal assistance be provided in case of such an offense against the operating conditions?
