I want to end whiteness and the systems that enable it, and I want to do that as soon as possible.

Understanding the difference between "white" and "whiteness" is hard at first! It took me months of study to start to see.

White people, like me, were raised into a system that intentionally obscures these differences to keep us complicit with those systems, but it a way we aren't aware of.
If you feel discomfort when people critique whiteness as a system, and experience that as a personal attack of your identity or worth as a person, you have more work to do.
