OK, started this thread on FB and it seems to be making people happy so here too!

OK, thread of good victories. I'll start:
-Katie Porter. Remember, before her, that seat was SOLIDLY republican. And she is an amazing person
-First Black gay men in Congress...
-Three Native Congresspeople. Far too few but before 2018 there were zero
-Seven openly trans lawmakers at the state levels. Again, not enough but before 2017 it was zero
-"The Squad" re-elected (my favorite is Ayanna Presley)
...
-Measure P in Sonoma County for police accountability, good job childhood county
-My favorite Alameda City Council person is not called yet but I think couldn't possibly lose at this point
-My favorite Alameda School Board person, same

YOU? What's making you happy?
oh and...First non-binary person ever elected to a state legislature in... OKLAHOMA of all places. AND she's Muslim.
