Strongly recommend that Philly folks go show support at the Convention Center but also that folks be very careful about engaging fash down there (my advice: don't).

These are increasingly desperate and agitated people, and they will be escalating as the count progresses.
Be especially wary of escalated MAGA and militia/boog types.

Proud Boys have some history of street action, they'll likely try and pick fights but are (somewhat) less likely to see "an antifa" and truly believe the civil war has started.
Like, don't get me wrong, Proud Boys are dangerous and suck.

They're just a little more experienced with city confrontation and slightly less likely to panic.

What has me really worried is the paranoid types coming in from the burbs with guns and zero grasp on reality.
If you don't have a lot of antifascist experience, the most powerful way to manage these guys is to show up, stand with the counters and antifascists, and then just not engage.
I'm 100% for diversity of tactics but today is probably not the day to start experimenting.

If you're an experienced antifascist, you do you.
Either way, though: you've got a lot of priv, just keep in mind that if you escalate the situation, others with less priv are likely to be the first targets of any violence that occurs, not you.

That's always true, but it's especially true with these folks, today.
