Hearing worries/fears from my out-of-state friends, family, & sources. Here's are a few of the amazing @azcentral stories and excellent reporting from other #localnews outlets I've been sharing. Moral of the story: READ LOCAL NEWS.
This one from @robodellaz @CaitMcGlade @yvonnewingett if you're trying to understand the presidential count in Arizona: https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/04/latest-batch-trump-gets-share-votes-he-would-need-reclaim-arizona-next-rounds-present-challenges/6169183002/
This one from @rachelleingang @JenAFifield re Sharpiegate: https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/04/arizona-ballots-counted-if-marked-sharpies-felt-tip-pens/6162463002/
This one from @freep (Detroit Free Press) for my sources from red states who primarily engage with hyper-conservative news outlets: https://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/04/michigan-election-ballots-mail-absentee-hour-count-update/6161367002/
Another one one that front: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/11/04/fact-check-typo-led-false-post-michigan-votes-biden/6164385002/
And this other fact-check re Wisconsin and claims of Democrats "stealing" the election: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/11/04/fact-check-wisconsin-has-more-registered-voters-than-ballots-cast/6161713002/
To reiterate the moral of the story: READ LOCAL NEWS, DIVERSIFY YOUR NEWS INTAKE, DON'T ONLY READ/WATCH NATIONAL OUTLETS. Educate yourself on how to tell the difference between evidence-based journalism and propoganda/speculation (all news outlets can be guilty of this).
