Paula White and the Black male pastors who gave her country (including the beloved bishop) did so at the expense of Black women.
It was done because of the proximity to power and success that being aligned with White women gives Black men.

I deeply respect Bishop Jakes. He is, arguably, one of the greatest homileticians of our time and his ministry has been/is formational to me.
And still, I have valid critiques.
Chief among them is how his work impacts Black women.

You can respect someone and believe there needs to be an account for the harm of their decisions.
And be clear, Bishop Jakes is able to hear criticism and respect it. I know because I did a panel w/him when Instinct came out and all folks did was come for his neck. LOL

The presence of White evangelicals in Black church is intentional. It gave Black men a different level of power and access. They could reach and appeal to more. And who gave them that better than White women?!
