Today is the day that I get to announce something that the team at Safepoint have kept under wraps for a while.
Earlier this year, during some routine research into the health and social care sector we unearthed a statistic. A statistic that we initially couldn’t believe ourselves.
A lot of time is spent here at Safepoint on researching the facts and figures for safety in the various sectors we serve. When digging into the rates of physical assault on health and social care workers we were utterly shocked.
On average, a health and social care worker is physically attacked every 30 minutes in the UK.

That’s 30 physical assaults today so far.

This has led us here at Safepoint to launch the #Every30Minutes campaign to raise awareness of the huge issue of violence in this sector and to share the best tools and strategies that are available to work towards improving these terrible statistics.
