Despite a 49% cut to the dept's 2021 budget, cultural grants "will remain intact providing a min. of $2.7 million in support," Kelly says.
Revenue is "built on visitors returning to Chicago." Tax revenue on increased hotel stays "should revive the cultural life of our city."
