1st, let me start with I’m from Miami - born & raised in a playground of majority Cubans. 2nd, Agree more investment & time is needed to engage this wildly non-monolithic Latinx pop. Cuban-Americans have reliably been GOP since I can remember. W/ that, comes the understanding 1/ https://twitter.com/ap_politics/status/1324358567353307138
that you go head to head on the scare tactics Rs reliably use to move Cubans & Venezuelans- “communism”- w/ immigration (a greater sore spot than the “socialist left”). And you invest more in the PR & other Latinx voters to counter their numbers. 2/
Lastly, don’t blame Latinx voters. Take a hard look at white voters in the state. Deep reckoning w/ whiteness needs to happen. We POCs can’t keep saving our democracy by ourselves.
