Instead of lamenting why millions of people still support Trump how about you take a look at the TV and see how Fox News and even MSNBC and CNN talk about Trump like everything he does is normal. The version of Trump who is on TV just seems like a stupider Reagan.
Also people are voting *Republican* not necessarily voting *for Trump* and if you don't know the difference between those two things honestly you have no right to get paid for your political opinions. The GOP has a coalition of single-issue voters who are *solid red.*
Basically since Segregation, the Southern Strategy has been convincing Evangelicals that 2A rights and overturning Roe v. Wade are the same thing as lower taxes for corporations and less regulations on private industry. Democrats need better messaging.
Democrats think they can skate by on politeness politics and "taking the high road," but they need to be more honest and frankly blunt with "GOP Voters" about how GOP policy really affects their lives. Stop sugarcoating everything with Red White and Blue and just say what's what.
The Democrats need more people in charge and making decisions who have lived in red suburbs of blue states. Understanding *how* Republicanism foments itself in small towns is the first step to reaching these voters. Fight fire with fire.
Elitism is a problem in all of American Politics but the GOP has managed to make their Harvard-educated Millionaire Laywer elected leaders look like "Men/Women of the people!"

Meanwhile the Dems get popular women like "The Squad" and *literally* immediately try to primary them.
Imagine if Dems supported "The Squad" and other up-and-coming Progressive voices the way that the GOP propped up the Tea Party and later the Alt-Right? Imagine if Dems allowed themselves to celebrate their own victories? Imagine if Dems... tried?
