Mini-thread: #SlowLandslide for @JoeBiden should come in today. 306-232. (NC / AK are Trump’s, probably) Biden got the most votes ever and the Democratic Party won the popular vote yet again.

2/ Everyone who said the riots would help Trump was wrong. Trump was blamed for them because Trump was President. Biden will have to get a grip on them immediately when he is in charge. But he doesn’t pour gasoline on fire, so things should be better.
3/ the greatest threat to the Democrats is their own hard left. Tom Perez should be removed ( @DougJones for DNC?) and Biden should govern as a moderate. Less negative identity politics, more Hispanic outreach.
4/ Biden/Harris had an EV landslide but it wasn’t historic and certainly had no coattails. It’s very unusal to remove an incumbent President and pollsters likely underestimated the effects of local incumbency. Yet, with GA, @JoeBiden still has a good chance of taking the Senate.
5/ I understand that despair is attractive, and saying you were right about the riots and there wasn’t a landslide. I saw one guy I’ve known for a while glumly say we would “crawl to a big 290” and others that Biden “barely scraped home”. Those takes were incorrect.
6/ Sometimes it feels like people, who don’t understand politics, would rather be confirmed in their pessimistic predictions than win. Yet @JoeBiden did win, and he won big, and this nation is going to heal. We all owe a huge debt to @cindymccain and @SenJohnMcCain....
7/ And @repjohnlewis. Legacies matter. Mrs. McCain’s vital endorsement of @JoeBiden meant so much because of the love Arizona and America bore her great and valiant husband. Finally, @realDonaldTrump helped us. His attacks on McCain lost him Arizona.
8/ In conclusion, new leadership at the DNC, @JoeBiden should stomp on the hard left identity politics and socialist flamethrowers, and then the Democrats should do what they do. Joe won his landslide because he was so likable. Democrats should be like Joe, not Bernie. Ends.
