My views for what it’s worth. We’ve seen an arc of progress and regression at United under Ole. He picked us up at a low ebb, improved us last season no end but now it’s clear that we’re regressing again. This season hasn’t been good enough at all.
A less than perfect set of circumstances to start this season, following the late end of the last one and with a next to nothing pre-season clouded judgements. However, it looks clear to me that Ole is scrambling for his best eleven and his best system.
The players look confused and the system picked collapses resulting in some of the results this season. I’m the first to look at the players when needed and some are not without blame, however it’s a talented group as we’ve seen.
Ole has undoubtedly done his upmost, with the best of intentions and with the usual hamstringing from the Board. However, regrettably the team need a more experienced coach, a more tactically astute coach to maximise the squad’s talents.
