The heavyweight division is really interesting at the moment (a thread).
Dillian Whyte: Whyte took the Povetkin rematch ASAP to make things right and wipe it out of people's minds. Losing that fight until January is a bit of a blow, and yet another thing that will delay his world title shot, likely why he's talking up the unlikely Fury fight.
Tyson Fury: Agit Kabayel looks the most likely opponent (at present) for 5 December but it will be a nothing bout, and won't even have the boon of previous Fury one-sided fights (Sefer Seferi springs to mind) of tens of thousands paying to watch in a stadium.
So will Whyte fight Fury? No - but there's a good reason it's being talked up. https://inews.co.uk/sport/boxing/dillian-whyte-next-fight-tyson-fury-alexander-povetkin-positive-covid-test-coronavirus-748245
Deontay Wilder: Seemingly still in denial about his defeat to Fury, dropping a whole list of excuses about why he lost - including a bizarre allegation about Fury using illegal gloves to scratch the side of his head and ears.
And that leaves... Anthony Joshua. Calmly getting on with preparation for a mandatory defence while the rest of the heavyweight division flaps and flounders trying to make noise. https://inews.co.uk/sport/boxing/anthony-joshua-training-kubrat-pulev-dillian-whyte-deontay-wilder-tyson-fury-748716
