The charity sector MUST act

#BAMENetworks: continue to use your collective power & take action. Seek advocacy & legal advice if facing redundancy, furlough, or unlawful action. Employers must prioritise providing support to BAME staff experiencing constantly changing, difficult circumstances. (2/6)
#SeniorLeaders: charity leaders and boards must acknowledge and commit to using their power to place racial justice at the heart of the ongoing response to #COVID19. (3/6)
#WhitePeople: acknowledge the power that you hold. Use this power to ensure that action on the disproportionate impacts of #COVID19 is being taken within your workplaces and the communities you work with. (4/6)
#Funders: you must commit to ring-fencing funding for BAME-led orgs, NOT “those working with BAME communities.” Give BAME-leg orgs the time and meaningful support that they need through any application processes. (5/6)
And finally, SUPPORT the work we do here at #CharitySoWhite. Complete transformation of structures is not easy; it requires courage, time and financial investment. Donate here
