This breaks my heart. This isn’t a show for Paula, this is real, she has been indoctrinated into this behavior, she believes she’s really waging war against the devil. She doesn’t care that people are mocking her, she is a prayer warrior and this is the work of God for her.

We aren’t helpful if we see a woman who’s been indoctrinated into toxic Christianity and we mock her instead of feel compassion for her. She’s doing harm, and we can hold her accountable without laughing at her.

For those who identify as ex-evangelicals, exvangelicals, or ex-fundamentalists, may we never forget we were once closer to being like her than being the ones laughing at her.
