Hard to believe that—4 years ago—at this point post-election Flynn and Kushner were already holding clandestine meetings in Trump Tower with Russian nationals linked to Russian intelligence and secretly negotiating U.S. policy under false color of authority.

Those were the days.
Keep in mind that an analogous situation *today* would be Hunter Biden and Tony Blinken secretly meeting with Iranian intelligence agents at Joe Biden's house and agreeing to re-enter the Iran nuclear deal, then—when caught—being *livid* that anyone thought they were doing wrong.
(Of course this analogy would only hold if Iran had just—and in a spectacularly public way—helped ensure Joe Biden's election as president. See how crazy this game gets, and how quickly? One day we will realize how many universes away from "okay" everything in the Trump era was.)
