Despite the fact that Lincoln Project spent *millions* trying to flip Republicans toward Biden, the share of Republican voters pulling the level for Trump actually went UP (from 90% to 93%). Lots we can learn for
#cdnpoli and
#ableg. My 2 cents:
1. "Moderate" right wingers are still right wing voters, & when push comes to shove, most of them will vote right. Time and money chasing them could be used to engage with new voters, non-voters, or the vast majority of us who don't think in partisan terms

2. Ads don't win campaigns. If 1/3rd of the Lincoln Project cash was invested in hiring field organizers in MT or NC, the Senate might be a lock for the Dems. I love snazzy comms as much as the next guy, but the money pool is finite. Dollars to doors.

3. Policy courage matters. Legal weed won a higher % of the vote in Montana than any statewide race. But R's still voted R, in a state was primed for Lincoln Project style messaging.
Imagine: What if MT D's had ran WITH the cannabis ballot measure?
