I actually have work to do and I need to remove myself from returns convos, but a couple of things:

1. This ain't over. We gotta get ready for midterms now.
2. We all need to be more engaged locally and be tapped in to what our congresspeople are doing, and engage them.
3. Pay attention to even the smallest electeds: aldermen, judges, city council, school board - all of it. Consider if there's even something you should run for ( @runforsomething is a resource). We need a pipeline or we'll just be here continuously.
4. Was there something you were passionate about that wasn't addressed on a platform this year? How can you organize around it? What are your local orgs doing work towards it?
5. Tired of two party systems? The @NAACP_LDF and @ACLU are fighting against all kinds of bullshit the Trump admin's done. The LDF is behind the federal order for the USPS to do sweeps to account for all the mail siting in their post offices (which DeJoy & them ignored, but had to do in TX today). Give them 💵

7. Watch local elections even outside of your state. Money spends everywhere. Where can you lend your support that'll be impactful and effective?
8. Read, read, read. Research. Verify sources. Seek your own answers. Disinformation and half-truths combined with a less than full understanding of process has been kicking our ASSES. We all can do better.

Right! The local electeds are the ones we can reach, the ones who are accessible, and the ones who can help us get immediate response- commissioners, assembly members, people who oversee utilities and sanitation even! But we usually only know mayor & up.
