Is now the time to discuss the benefits of Preferential Voting and/or Compulsory Voting?

Well, since you've nothing better to do then stare at the College tally, lets consider some alternatives...
First of all, voting on Tuesday is OUTDATED!
It dates back to horse & cart era, when we worshiped on Sunday, travelled to a city on Monday, and voted on Tuesday.
US should also have *Preferential Voting*, where voters are not forced to pick ONE person, but can list their preference.
EG: you can put 'Libertarian' as Choice #1, then 'Greens', then Democrat. This means minor parties have a meaningful chance.
We do this in Australia.
Then - most controversially - let's consider *Compulsory Voting*. Every registered voter must show up to vote - although they can choose no preference if they want. Australia, Belgium, Costa Rica, and others have this. It means there's less influence of money in politics.
No matter what happens in #Elections2020 - the US could do a lot to improve the voting system.
As the world's most important democracy, I would say it is your RESPONSIBILITY to have the best darn democracy in the world!
Right now, your election system is a bit 'meh'.
C'mon USA!
