the white working class consistently chooses whiteness over class solidarity. Black people don’t have to feel sorry for them when they consistently participate in white supremacy. Y’all also speak like poverty doesn’t disproportionately affect Black & Indigenous peoples...
It’s sad that white people don’t realize that the ruling class doesn’t care about them either, but it’s not the responsibility of Black people to be thoughtful towards racists regardless of their class.
White people can educate their own people. And Black people & Indigenous peoples have our own working class & impoverished people to look after, and our economic struggles are directly connected to racism.
There have been amazing instances of white working class people allying themselves with Black peoples against mutual oppressors and I don’t mean to undermine that history, but I don’t feel sorry for confederate flag waving yts.
they are still settlers who benefit from our oppression. If yt middle class ppl care so much, you’d start helping them instead of shaming black people’s reactions to their racism.
also when you say that racism is okay because of class, you are insinuating that somehow working class people are inherently more racist than middle class & wealthy ppl which isn’t true.
I’ll share a story of me and dad + siblings being called the n-word & my mom being called an n-word lover & yt ppl will suggest I should feel sorry for the guy who said it because he was poor... are y’all... shitting me?
