THREAD: Since there's no immediate result on the US Election & I seem to be trending lets talk about the reason for the trending-RACISM. Some quick fires on the topic.

1)I call it out not to give it oxygen but if you're going to have the audacity to come at me, don't expect me

not to call you out on it. I spent years just ignoring racists but they're still around.

2) On screenshots/retweets of the offending stuff, be led by person targeted. Again its not about giving trolls oxygen, its about calling them out. Saying 'we will not stand for racism!'

3) Solidarity means a lot & my thanks for everyone showing support to me today & everyday. If you see someone racially abused please don't ignore. It's an issue for us all. Its not good enough to be not racist, we need to be anti-racist.

but there is a minority of people that are very loud & vocal-tapping into people's genuine fears in a pandemic. Challenge their dog whistling & the misinformation they spread on people not belonging. Ireland belongs to us all regardless of background or nationality after all

5) I don't say this for me, I can hold my own. I say it for many who don't have the supports I do & for the next generation. I want Alex to

grow up to be able to look in the mirror & not wish she was a different skin colour. I want her & us all to celebrate our differences not be divided by them. Now more than ever we need unity! It's why my next step is setting a new integration strategy for Dublin.
