I hear a lot of complaints from academics about journalists simplifying their work for a mainstream audience. I appreciate the sentiment - and support accuracy 100%.

But I’d also like to talk about ways to communicate with the public about science, given where we are.
Not sure how well I articulated that. Point being, I wish more scientists were as focused on making their research accessible vs. making sure every minute detail is included.
