hey guys - time 2 tweet
secondly, whatever you hear or think about florida, we did what we needed to do. we sucked time, energy, attention and everything into the state, and kept the t**** team from being able to invest in other states across the country. so how did we do that?
1 - we met voters where they were. building out programs that sent not just 25 million texts, millions of calls (numbers to come), sent thousands of twitter messages using a brilliant twitter scrapping tool, over 10k relational action takers, and more.
in the final week, we launched a digital doorknocking program contacting dodgers on instagram, facebook, linkedin and whatsapp in both english and spanish, making thousands of contacts with voters, exactly where they are. yesterday, we chased ballot cures the same way.
2 - we helped build the largest hispanic communities program the state has ever seen. shoutout to @jennyrdrguez for leading the charge on a whatsapp community, @VamosDemocratas, spanish language content, and more
cont - our spanish text team (and call team) led by the incredible sent out over a million texts with a majority IN SPANISH and averaged a 10% reply rate. that can not be acknowledged enough. this has not been done before.
3 - we built a multi-tiered text program, completely run by a team of moderators that built this program inside and out. we had mods answering tough persuasion conversations, mods leading other mods, sweepers that swept millions of conversations keeping them clean, and -
they built a community. they had "dumpster fire-side" happy hours almost nightly this past week, and made friends that they will have forever. just a few of the many - @lindsayrite @sforganicmama @ErinLeighNYC @cherylkw @hshays
4 - how many volunteers helped? 8k texters, 5.5k callers, 950 digital captains, 1.4k spanish texters - 16,000 in our community. huge numbers. there is energy in florida, don't get it twisted.
4 - and i think most importantly. we were a team lead by three the most badass women i've ever worked with and for. @miranda_barrie twitterless vanessa, and @chelsea_daley ran the best state program in the nation. and i hope everyone can agree on the value and impact of digital.
i will continue to look up to them and thank them keeping us focused. and to the rest of this badass team - y'all I'm so proud to be in this with you, and i'm so excited to see what else you do. cc: @liitttlemermaid @malihakrm @jennyrdrguez @RodneyDOrr emily julie and anahi.
