He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather who was a boxer in the 1960’s, his dad and dad’s brother also boxed, thus Inder becoming a 3rd generation boxer. He had his first fight at the age of 12 and went on to fight around 75 times as an amateur, winning 50-55 times.

Inder gained popularity in 2018 when the 5x London Amatuer Champion, along with other Sikhs and Muslims came together to change the rule in England to be clean shaven for amatuer boxing bouts.

This resulted in England being the first country to do so and before 2018 many Sikhs and Muslsims had to choose between their religion and their passion.

Although the rule is still in place for international competitions, the then 21 year old broke barriers for the inclusion of many others who did not want to be forced to make the choice.

In 2019 Inder decided to turn pro and was signed by @mtkglobal the same management company that has fighters such as Tyson Fury, Carl Frampton & Billy Joe Saunders.

Inder had two fights planned and cancelled during the pandemic. He has been training throughout and helping his fellow boxers in their training camps.

As a result of the pandemic Inder is now fighting another prospect in a 50/50 fight instead of a journeyman to help learn the professional ways, a risk but if victories will be worth the reward.

If Inder does go onto achieve great things he will become the first many more times. The first Sikh to sign MTK already but will become the first British Sikh to win titles at basically every level.

Hopefully he can win on the 11th and become a prominent figure in the sport and an inspiration to the next generation of Sikh fighters.
