THREAD- My lessons on the Latino vote in Texas:

1) Young Latino voters are coming out in droves and voting for progressives- now is the time for progressives to invest the money in registering a million of them over next 2 years
2) Top tier democrats (Senate and President) didn't invest enough or early enough in Latinos- we tell them this every cycle and they failed to do it.
3) Dems needed to speak more forcefully & directly to the economic pain Latinos are facing. Our community was living on the edge before COVID19 & fell off the cliff.

We needed to say "Trump is asking you to make an impossible choice, feed your family or risk your health. ..
We will never ask you to make that choice, because in the richest country on earth we are going to make sure every American has what they need during this crisis. That no bill goes unpaid, that you won't have to worry about your rent or mortgage."
