I am a human person with feelings. I am empathetic and patient.

I also get angry, and today I have a lot of anger. Contrary to our social conditioning in many cultures, anger is not wrong or bad.

Anger is information.
Anger tells us when we are unsafe, our boundaries are being pushed, or people we are about are under threat. All of those things are true for so many folx in the United States today.
People at risk for severe COVID case presentations are imperiled by each and every vote for the GOP--and there were millions.
Disabled people are imperiled by the policies and judges the GOP relentlessly and ruthlessly advocates.
Black people face widespread disenfranchisement in our economy, our educational system, and our criminal justice system, and that is simple worse with Republicans, and especially Trump.
The rights of Trans folx to be and LGB folx to marry hangs in the balance, and the alignment of the Senate and SCOTUS means even if Democrats win the presidency, those basic rights are in question.
Native people face nearly endless apathy and cruelty no matter which party is in power, and unforgiveable perpetuation of the original sins of this country.
Women's rights to healthcare and self determination are under assault.
Nonwhite Latinx people face increasingly open hostility, and the border has gone from terrible to a full blown humanitarian crisis.
Democrats would not do enough on these issues and more--but they are at least not openly and proudly antagonistic.
