BJP banking on emergency whining is a dud.
1. Liberals love it, when it's imposed by them. BJP imposing it will have people on streets, thanks to liberal/Peaceful mobilization.
2. This isn't 1975. Junta today is ideologically polarized /1

So emergency imposition or high handed State tactics will be judged by who's doing it, not why. Disadvantage BJP (refer point 1)
3. Liberals/Peacefuls keeps on successfully testing their street strength, BJP last did it during RJB. Disadvantage BJP (refer point 1) /2

4. Unlike '75, people today are shockproof to volatile political manoeuvres, thanks to media/internet. Emergency works because of shock value- liberals generate it better than H & RSS (refer award wapsi etc) /3

5. Each time BJP & IT cell whines about "where are liberals now?" without retaliation, Liberal-Peaceful scores a point in proving who's in control of the course & who's on backfoot. And people subconsciously admire Iron Hand- doesn't matter if it's SS/Cong or BJP. /4

So, horde psychology is to stick to the Iron Hand (whether it's emergency or wartime or civil war). BJP not rewarding (rather punishing) loyalty is bad PR breeding distrust- so Emergency whining makes them look weak /5

What they should be doing instead-

Pull the right plugs behind the scene and bring your foes to the knees, win allies, reward loyalty (legal or otherwise), & exercise power through them.
On SM- ignore, stop giving foes footage & keep preaching vikas crap all you want. /End
