These exit polls require more analysis than what is currently circulating on this website. Its not "economic anxiety" but its also not just "white supremacy". Keep blaming voters while ignoring the disastrous strategy of the Dem Party at your own peril. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/exit-polls-president.html
The Trump brand of nihilism and narcissism makes him impervious to the consequences that most politicians are hemmed in by. When Biden rightfully accused him of botching the COVID crisis, he did the anti-politics thing of doubling down on his nutty ideas about COVID.
He didn't deny or say he was misquoted. It can seem crazy OR authentic. But its certainly not the canned bullshit that people are sick of hearing from electeds. No one cares about Biden's "soul of the country".
Not them Dems who voted for him who were really voting against Trump and certainly not anyone else. There's a lot more to figure out including Trump's support from Black and Latinx voters, but I suspect its a similar dynamic.
Many Black people will tell you that they will take a racist who is up front any day over a duplicitous one who smiles in your face. Its not Lil Wayne or Ice Cube, it was record low unemployment that Trump took credit for and Biden didn't knock him off of his spot on it.
& then we laughed at Trump pointing out Biden's racist history because Trump. But where Trump is upfront with his horrible politics Biden never accounted for his except to say that Obama picked him so how bad could he be.
Its complicated but there is a lot of wreckage to sort through. I'd encourage to see how the election actually materializes and then to think about it in complicated ways, not simple ways. The hottest take I got.
