Want to see @USPS voting intereference in action? Follow along as we track the insane path of my ex-wife's absentee ballot from Wisconsin to Texas.

For reference: she successfully mailed her absentee application (via Priority Mail) a couple weeks ago - arrived in 2 days. (1/6)
She mailed her ballot on Thursday, October 30, with estimated arrival date of Monday, November 2 (again, Priority Mail, $7.75). Deadline for Harris County is 5:00PM November 4 if postmarked by November 3. So, we were hopeful. (2/6)
All things look good to start: leaves her town, arrives in Oshkosh late Thursday night. (apologies for the finger-painted emphasis) (3/6)
Here's where things go south... well, actually east. Her ballot gets sent to SOUTH CAROLINA, arriving over 2-1/2 DAYS LATER! But there's more: it sits there almost 32 HOURS before leaving for... NORTH CAROLINA! (4/6)
So, her ballot, which should have arrived on Monday, is still somewhere in a USPS facility in Asheville, NC and needs to arrive in Houston by 5:00PM today for her ballot to be counted. (5/6)

And feel free to RT this and tag anyone who might be able to reach District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan regarding his facility sweep order. (6/6)
I'll update when new tracking information arrives.
The latest, useless information:
It is now 5:05 PM Central Time and there is no delivery confirmation from USPS. That means that they have managed to negate her votes.

This doesn't just affect the national races, but all down ballot ones as well. Each vote lost should incur a penalty against the Postmaster.
I'll continue to update here with any new notices.
Someone asked a legitimate question: Could the @USPS tell it was an absentee ballot?

YES! I don't have a picture (wish I did), but the official ballot envelope was put inside a clear Priority Mail envelope. I'm absolutely certain that the Postal Service knows it's a ballot.
Just a little more documentation: here's her receipt from the Post Office. Note the date/time stamp on top; tracking number. I've redacted her Debit card data and also the QR code for the customer survey (which would not be very favorable, to say the least).
I'm posting this at 11:56 PM. This means that the ballot has now been in the Asheville, North Carolina location for over twenty-four hours. There has been no departure update.

I'm calling it a night; will update again in the morning.
Text alert that woke me up at 2AM. Wasn't worth staying awake to post then... and it still hasn't arrived at county clerk's office.
Well. I'm pretty much out of polite words to describe this. The expected delivery time is more than SEVEN DAYS after it was entered into the @USPS system (9:27 AM, October 30, 2020). It was supposed to take THREE. Given the final time (9PM), this practically adds another day.
It finally arrived at the Houston Post Office at 9:31 AM - exactly SEVEN DAYS AND FOUR MINUTES after it was received by the Nekoosa WI Post Office.
Because she saves everything 🙂, here is her original receipt for when she mailed her application request. Note the date/time (Oct 21, 2:30PM), the tracking number (9505511263670295297693), and estimated arrival date (Oct 24) (1/2)
Here's the tracking on that original application. LESS THAN TWO DAYS (42 hours, 21 minutes)! Faster than estimated and straight from Oshkosh to Houston. WTF. (2/2)
I'm livid. She shouldn't have had to deal with this. I don't want to monetize her votes, but at the very least, @USPS, should refund her $7.75 that she paid in order to have a reasonable delivery of her ballot.

This isn't over...
We have emailed the Harris County Clerk, @CGHollins, if they can hold her mail without opening it. Since they can't legally count her ballot, this would be helpful in pursuing any action (if that's even possible).
I'm trying to channel my anger into something creative & informative, so here's an animation comparing the delivery times of her absentee request and her mail-in ballot. These show the paths from the Nekoosa PO to the Houston PO (and points between). (1 sec = 10 hours)
The times are shorter than in the thread because I removed the waiting time in the Nekoosa PO as well as timestamped events after they arrived in Houston.
