San Francisco 49ers‼️

Kyle Shanahan deploys a top tier running scheme. He has provided fantasy relevance for UDFA running backs.

But what about the passing side of his offense?

A quick look at his quarterbacks.
The Quarterback:

Shanahan became HC in 2017.

Attempts - Yards - Completion

🔸2017: 607 - 3,925 - 60%

🔸2019: 478 - 3,792 - 69%
🔸2020: 275 - 2,013 - 68%

With Jimmy G out for at least 6 weeks, in steps Nick Mullens. https://twitter.com/nflonfox/status/1323361569003241472
Jimmy G & Nick Mullens: 2020

I used @NextGenStats weekly charts to calculate the passes.
Discussion Cont.

Having Brandon Aiyuk & Deebo Samuel allows Shanahan to get creative with motions and his play calling to keep the defense guessing.

The threat of the run game only aids into the use of the jet motions and screen plays in the passing game.
Fantasy Relevance:

Manufactured touches to the wide receivers correlates to the quarterback. The security of 70-78% of passes from behind the LOS up to 10 yards.

There is no guarantee these touches will garner big plays or not result in a turnover.
Mullens can be a great addition to a contending team that needs QB help.

➡️ 17.72, 17.52, & 5.00 (🤢) points in his 3 games with over 25 attempts this season. Mullens has a tough schedule coming up. Trust Shanahan to gameplan.

Bank on Mullen having those better games 🚀
